14K Gold Tiger's Eye Roman Warrior Cameo Ring

This 14K yellow gold ring features a natural tiger's eye carved in high relief with the profile of a classical helmeted warrior. The right-facing figure wears an elaborate crested helmet, with dimensional carving extending through the face, neck, shoulder, and helmet details.

Tiger's eye is particularly well suited to relief carving because its natural chatoyancy creates shifting bands of golden-brown light across the surface as the stone moves. Here, the darker portions of the stone contrast with the golden carving and help emphasize the dimensional profile.

The approximately 14.15 × 11 mm cameo is bezel set in an ornate yellow gold mounting. The ring is unmarked and has been tested as 14K gold.
